The credit card subscribers will be exempted from fines to pay if they pay back the outstanding credit card loan installments by July 31. At the same time, this facility will be available in installments of various types of deposits.

In a notification issued by Bangladesh Bank on Wednesday, it is said that due to the recent situation in the country, many people have not been able to pay the installments of various savings schemes including credit card bills and DPS due from July 18 to 25. "Therefore, if the customer pays the dues of loans and credit cards and installments of various savings schemes by July 31, the customer will not be charged any fee or late fee or penalty." The central bank has sent these instructions to the managing directors and executive officers of all banks.

Amid the violence centering the quota reform movement, the internet was shut down across the country as well as the increase in general holidays for bank and card customers. Besides banks being closed, customers were worried about paying their credit card bills as most of the ATM booths were unable to withdraw and deposit money. Broadband internet started returning in some areas on Tuesday night after a five-day shutdown. But not everyone has come under the internet coverage. And when the curfew is relaxed, bank transactions start from 11 am to 3 am on Wednesday and Thursday. There was a huge crowd in various bank branches on Wednesday.
